Musser M65 2.5 Octave Marching Bells / Glockespiel

Description

For your consideration is a Musser M65 marching bell / glockenspiel set. This 2.5 octave unit pre-dates the company move of production from La Grange, Illinois to Elkhart, Indiana in 2013. Serial number is AF1776.
The unit is in fair condition with 1 missing bar (low G), damage to the bracket system in the form of a chipped wood section on the underside and a corner section broken off (see photos), worn felt that may need replaced in sections or as a whole, and a missing metal dowel used to mount a marching harness to the front (see photo). Besides these items, the unit also has cosmetic wear to the bars and bracket as well. See photos for more detail.
Unit is a length of 30.5″, high end width of 9.5″, and a low end width of 18.5″. These dimensions line up with the modern production version of the M65 still made to this day! However, its weight is 13.5lbs according to our scale which is slightly off from the modern production.
Would be considered a rebuild project or parts lots for prospective buyer and would need the aforementioned repairs / parts to properly function as intended.
